What a great place with the beach as your back yard. The staff are amazingly friendly and the wide breakfast options is awesome. There is a honesty bar which is a nice touch and a lekker fireplace in the communal area for those cold nights. Will definitely be back!

We came to Paternoster for my birthday in June. Gonana Guesthouse felt like home and even better. The room opening directly to the beach was fantastic, the conversation with the other guests over delicious breakfast at the long table were inspiring and the early evenings in the terrace overlooking the ocean so chilled! Stuff for daydreaming.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in June. Loved everything about this guesthouse. Our dog even got a welcome letter with his own special bag of treats. Spotlessly clean facilities. Breakfasts plentiful and scrumptious. The views, oh the views! Stepping onto the beach literally from our gate was magic. The beach is beautiful and you can take wonderful walks in any direction. The staff are professional, extremely obliging and friendly. This is honestly one of THE BEST places we have stayed and I can't wait to go again.

The cottages are beautifully styled with absolutely everything you need for cooking and just hanging out. Super comfortable beds and a fantastic fireplace. The views are delightful and the garden is full of indigenous flowers. With just a minutes walk to the beach.

We had seen images online and when we arrived at Gonana Gust House it exceeded our expectations! We were greeted by welcoming staff who attended to all your needs. The best part was looking out to the gorgeous sea view and the feeling of complete relaxation. What a location, easy access the beach to take long walks and close to restaurants in town. Accommodation is very comfortable with attention to detail. Overall a wonderful experience and we cant thank the staff enough for a great getaway!

What a friendly welcome upon our arrival. Such a beautifully decorated room and house. With a familiar family homely feeling. Everything we needed in our room was at hand or neatly packed away. The beautifully woven blankets were very welcome when waking up in the mornings on the stoop listening to the waves. The best breakfast we have had in a very long time. Well done to the lovely ladies. Did I mention the prime spot on the balcony for sipping bubbly while watching the sunset and just the waves. Our new favorite spot, just a hop skip and a short drive from Cape town. Gonana you win hands down for me. Hoping to see you all soon and often

A marvellous holiday for the Banner family in a very special guesthouse. Having travelled around the world, I cannot think of any hotel or guesthouse that would be ranked higher than Gonana. The service & the supberb sea views deserve more than 5 stars.

Besides Romantic, Charming, The welcome is warm and the sea view is vast. The attention to detail and comfort is just as visible as the drive to be sustainable. We love the balance.
